Blue Gift Boxes are storage chests that can only be found during the Christmas-themed "Festive Season" event around christmas holidays.

Blue Gift Boxes have 32 inventory slots just like the other Gift Boxes, even though they look smaller than Red Gift Boxes and Green Gift Boxes.

During the event, these storage boxes can be obtained from Arctic Mirus, Rambeaus or Blizzard Chizzards, either as loot when killing them, or harvesting from them when they are your Pets. Randomly spawning Holiday Gifts (mainly on Snow and in cold Biomes) will occasionally contain these boxes as already crafted items, and can also rarely contain the crafting Recipe for Blue Gift Boxes.

Even though the crafting recipe is only available for a limited timespan during events, you can keep it after finding it. When learning the crafting recipe by right-clicking on its icon in your inventory or dragging it with your left mouse button over the character model on the right side of the inventory, the recipe will be permanently added to your crafting menu and already be unlocked.

As a rare recipe it will also carry over to all other gameworlds that you'll be playing on, even to those that have the world option "world bound recipes" enabled.

You can craft them in your Crafting Menu ("q" as the default key) after learning the crafting recipe either during Christmas-season. With update R46 in September 2017, the exploit that allowed rare Holiday Recipes to be learned via Adventures was fixed. It is still possible to learn these Recipes by visiting players on their game world who have stored surplus duplicates of the Recipes.

To craft one Blue Gift Box you'll need:

Different from the randomly spawning Holiday Gifts that will vanish once they have been emptied, you can pick up and keep Blue Gift Boxes, since they are furniture items and "real" storage containers.

To use a Blue Gift Box, place it somewhere and activate it with right-click or "f" (as the default key). Since R32 you won't need to equip any Power Cells anymore to pick up Blue Gift Boxes that have been placed into the world.

This storage container can only be rotated sideways by holding r (as the default key) and moving the left mouse button.

You can only rotate and take Blue Gift Boxes that are empty (with no items inside). Of course you won't be able to take such items on claims of other players (or in gameworlds) where your permission level is set low.

If you had placed storage containers of any kind onto a Creativerse game world before August 2016, you might have to empty them, pick them up (as said no Power Cell is required to pull any of them anymore) and then place the chests again to gain access to all their new functions and use 32 slots instead of 20 like before.

You can simply sort whole stacks of materials, blocks, items or substances into storage boxes from your inventory or quick-bar by right-clicking or dragging & dropping with your left mouse-button.

If you hold a stack of stuff with your mouse-button (left click), you can drag it over the box and then right-click to drop only one piece of the stack (also repeatedly).

You can also hold left shift + left click, then drag to move half a stack, or hold left shift + right click to move five items.

You can use the same kind of procedures to move items/stacks from storage containers into empty slots of your quickbar and your inventory/bag.

You can name Blue Gift Boxes (these words will then be shown instead of nothing when you look at them from outside) individually, by activating/opening the box and then clicking on the icon that looks like a square note with a pen to the right of the empty array. You can then type up to 30 characters into this array.

You can also change a few settings for each box by clicking on the padlock icon shown in the top right corner after activating/opening the chest. Here you can set individual authorizations to control who will be permitted access to this box (and its contents).

Available world permission-settings: "just me", "world owner/admins", "world mods", "builders" or "everyone".

Since R40 all storage containers are set to "builders" by default when being placed. So only players with builder rights/permission rank either on your gameworld or on your claim (claim permission ranks override world permission ranks) can access your storage containers, but you can set them to "just me" if you want to. If set to "visitor", everyone can access these chests.

On player Claims the available settings are "just me", "claim admins", "claim interact only", "claim builders" and "everyone".

By clicking on the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner, you can see a "Transfer History" listing all filling and removal actions with the according player names and time of their access to the storage box.
