Basic Information Edit
Every Creativerse-world is inhabited by 14 imaginative Creatures, divided into 42 subtypes.
All creatures are tameable, except for the 5 ghost types that only appear during holiday events or can be spawned on Mob Spawners. Even in that case they cannot be tamed, like all other Creatures spawned by Mob Spawners. These Machines are intended to be used in Adventures or other types of game content that players can create for other players.
In Creativerse 13 Creatures are peaceful (all of them spawn on surface blocks during the day), 8 Creatures are runaways (5 of them are ghosts that only spawn "naturally" during event times around halloween and/or christmas), 21 Creatures are aggressive (4 daylight-loving surface-dwellers, 1 giant boss-mob, 7 night creatures, 6 corrupted creatures, and 3 other underground creatures).
Each creature type has a special behavior-pattern and a unique "fighting"-style (a few will run away instead of fighting though), like poisoning player characters, sending them flying, setting them on fire... or calling out to their "relatives" to help them in their fight.
Many creatures will run from nearby fights, explosions or the like while showing specific "scared"-animations. They will even run away from fires caused by Fire Bombs when they are pushed with a player's gauntlet towards the flames. Some creatures can also be "charmed" by Perfumes and made to follow player characters for a while, which is different from actually taming them and keeping them as pets.

Spawning specifics Edit
The reason for this is that nearly all Creatures can only spawn on or at least very close to specific natural blocks and/or when certain parameters are met, like on or around Cacti during the day, on corrupted blocks in complete darkness, only in Woodlands, Forests or Grasslands during night-times, etc.
Creatures will only spawn when player characters get into a certain "range" (at about range of sight, but not directly, since also night creatures will spawn in underground Caves in a certain range additionally).
It seems that only a maximum amount of Creatures is able to spawn within a certain radius too. When all player characters leave an area, the Creatures that have spawned will vanish after a while; sometimes very quickly even.
Please note that the artificial light of torches and lamps (not LEDs and any glowing blocks or items that do not illuminate their surrounding) will also prevent daylight Creatures from spawning nearby on all the blocks that are illuminated by the luminaires.
Currently, Creatures are made to spawn on certain natural blocks (rarely also just right next to them). Only two types of Creatures can spawn on crafted blocks: Keepas (of all kinds) and Rockzilla. Ghost creatures only spawn "naturally" during event times. Night Twiggies and Night Hoglets only spawn in certain biomes.
All Creatures except for these can be made to spawn on player-made arenas (just like in Terraria for that matter). The floor of the arena / "spawner" / artificial biome has to be made out of specific blocks depending on the Creatures you want to spawn (sometimes with certain plants and/or liquids too).
Ideally, the arena should be 16x16 blocks in size, since one chunk is the size of 16x16x16 blocks (the chat-command /sim will let you know more about the chunk you're in). However usually placing 10x10 blocks is already enough for Creatures to appear, sometimes even a handful of blocks will be sufficient even - but of course the chances that Creatures will appear on only a few blocks will be small.
A "thickness" of only one block is sufficient for artificial biomes / arenas to work. Arenas can have more than one floor, but the rooms in between should be at least 2 blocks in height, otherwise player characters can't enter.
Some Creatures require additional conditions - many of them can only spawn in darkness for example, best achieved by adding walls and a ceiling to the respective arenas (or by making night come by using a Bed).
Other creatures might need a mix of blocks to spawn (like Rocksters and Pebbles that spawn best on blocks of Sand but prefer some units of liquids like Water to be nearby too). Wildwood Flowers can be used to provide some light. LEDs, Hardened Lava and glowing crafted blocks/items will not illuminate their surroundings and such won't hinder Creatures from spawning either. Areas illuminated by artificial lighting might not even permit daytime-Creatures to spawn.
Since only a certain maximum amount of Creatures is able to spawn within an area, make sure that there are no or not too many underground Caves below your artificial biomes - bst build them over oceans or floating in the sky. You should also know that creating several artificial biomes next to each other might result in some of them not spawning anything.
Some conditions are hard to create... For example; Autumn Leafies won't always spawn in player-made autumnwood groves, or Night Hoglets and Night Twiggies seem to only appear in certain Biomes, but not on player-made arenas, or they might appear on arenas made of completely different rocks in a different Biome than they'd usually prefer...
Artificial biomes close to player bases (where players spawn on their touchstones) can be problematic, since Creatures don't seem to spawn well around touchstones. Also teleporting out of (or running away from) an artificial Biome and then returning soon after might result in all Creatures despawning but not respawning again.
Currently the exact locations of such arenas and/or the surrounding temperature does not seem to matter for Creatures to spawn.
All Creatures except for Keepas (of all kinds) and Rockzilla can also be spawned by players with a Mob Spawner too; however these Creatures are not tamable and also won't drop any loot when killed, except for the loot that players can provide for the first Creature that will appear on the Mob Spawner.
Nearly all Creatures can be tamed by equipping and using a Taming Collar (hold left mouse button by default) on them for certain amount of time (differs depending on the creature type).
Only Ghost Creatures and Creatures spawned by a Mob Spawner cannot be tamed. Many Creatures will fight back when being tamed, so using Stun Bombs, having healing potions ready on the quickbar and making use of the many sandbox-options to prepare the terrain for trapping Creatures is advised.
As soon as Creatures have been tamed, they will be practically immortal except if they are dismissed by players. Each Pet has it's own favorite food (check the pet window) and can be "harvested" from after being fed. Pet-harvests usually are very similar to what they would drop when being killed. However, a Pet will provide you with its best harvest only if it has been fed it's favorite food (the EXACT type as shown in the window, for example if they like Turnip Sandwiches, no other types of Sandwiches will do), otherwise the harvest will be less satisfying.
Pets will need to be washed with a Washer after the harvest before they can get hungry again. Pets can be named individually and can be "dressed" with accessories like Top Hats or Bow Ties to look differently. They can be made to follow the player (now happens by default right after the taming was successful). And Pets also can be told either to stay or to wander around - best in fenced-in corrals of course. As Pets, most Creatures have additional animations for eating and when being cleaned, some of which can only seen in the Pet window.
Attention: please note that Pets can still glitch downwards or upwards sometimes, even when set to "stay". You can check your map for cyan-blue dots to find your pets, since they are usually close by - perhaps in an underground cave right below, or on the roof of their stables, or in the worst case at the destination of any Teleporter that they might have glitched into...
Fighting Creatures Edit
Currently, all Creatures in Creativerse except for Pets can be fought and killed, and all Creatures except for those that players can spawn themselves on Mob Spawners will drop specific "loot" in their Loot Bags.
Always try circling Creatures as quickly as possible when fighting them with a melee Weapon. All of them are pretty slow (that's why you can outrun most Creatures even without using Sprint), so you can even hit the Boss Mobs of the game (Rockzilla and the Thing) without being hit "yourself" if you just quickly run around them while whacking at them (you can simply hold down the left mouse button for this if you like).
Currently no Creature can climb or jump up a height of three blocks or higher. They also cannot use ladders or doors, cannot climb over fences (even when only 1 block in height) and cannot cross gaps, not even of 1 block in width. So you can use all that to your advantage.
Creatures can walk into Teleporters to then be teleported to the destination (like a "fighting arena" that has been prepared beforehand), and Creatures can be pushed around by Fans (but this unfortunately doesn't work like intended every time).
However Creatures don't take any falling damage, can swim upwards in any kind of liquids, and if bugs should happen, then Creatures can be hurled into the sky and glitch through "ceilings" or just into the ground, and out of sight.
Since update R44 in June 2017 Creatures might retreat further away if you hit them from a place where they cannot reach you. However in some cases this still works. You can just try it for yourself. For example, you could climb up ladders and try to position yourself carefully, so you might just be able to hit Creatures without being hit back by them.
Or you can try luring them to a fence and hit them across the fence. However make sure that it is a closed ring so that Creatures cannot simply run around it, and don't create steps or breaches that can be used, like by placing torches on the fence or liquids next to it.
You can also try creating a gap that Creatures cannot cross and fight Creatures across it after luring them there. For example, you can try digging a trench that is 3 blocks deep and 1 block in width in a "circle" around a platform where you can stand on (at least 4 blocks so you can step back if necessary) and with steps or ladders placed into the trench in case you should fall down.
Just make sure that your ladders cannot be used as bridges for Creatures to get to you and that you do not cut steps into your own "safety" platform that Creatures could then climb.
Or you can try building a platform that floats at least 3-4 blocks above the ground. Most Creatures won't be able to hit your player-character up there except for a few that have a long reach. Then you can build "stairs" leading up to such a platform, but you should leave a gap of at least 1 block between the upper end of the stairs and the platform.
Creatures do not always drop loot bags Edit
Please note that Creatures won't drop any loot bags if they are killed from natural causes like from drowning, freezing, burning, sunlight, corruption or purification; or by the elemental over time effect of Explosives like Fire Bombs, Freeze Bombs, Corrupt Bombs or Purification Bombs.
Corrupted Creatures are immune to Corruption of course, all other Creatures are immune to Purification (they also won't be healed by it). Warmworms and Hot Feet are immune to heat/burning, and Arctic Creatures like Blizzard Chizzards, Rambeaus and Arctic Mirus are immune to cold/freezing.
Night Creatures and other sunlight sensitive Creatures cannot be hurt by Flares nor by artificial light from torches or lamps. Not all underground Creatures are sunlight sensitive, just Mirus and Hot Feet additionally to all Night Creatures that can sometimes also be encountered underground (mainly Night Pigsies and Night Rocksters). Corrupted Creatures can withstand sunlight, even though they can only spawn in darkness.
