The Iron Roof is a slanted building-block with a topside looking like rusty iron.
This slanted block can be placed to create corners of walls or for other purposes too when being rotated by pressing and holding R (as the default key) while moving the mouse.
Iron Roofs can be crafted in your Crafting Menu (default key "q"), but only after the crafting-recipe has been unlocked by
- crafting Iron Walls
- crafting Obsidian Roofs (unlocked after crafting Stone Roofs)
To craft 8 (blocks of) Iron Roofs, you'll need (as of May 2017):
- 1 Glob of Goo made from Mold in a Processor or looted/harvested from creatures
- 1 Obsidian Rod made of Obsidian bars in a Processor
- 2 Iron Rods made of Iron Bars in a Processor
- 4 Iron Slabs made of Iron Bars in a Processor
Crafting or taking Iron Roofs is one of the unlocking requirements of the crafting-recipe for Diamond Roofs.
Since R42 in May 2017, inner and outer corners blocks can be created for these roof blocks too by putting them into a Processor. No crafting recipes are required for this.
