The Sensor is an activation device and part of the Wiring-System in Creativerse.
Sensors can be activated by players or Creatures within a certain height/width/length as defined by the player in the settings.Sensors can be crafted in your Crafting Menu (default key "Q") after the according crafting recipe had been unlocked by:
crafting a Pressure Plate
and crafting a Switch
To craft 1 Sensor, you will need:
2 Arcstones which are drops from Keepas, their variants, and chests.
1 (block of) Magnetite mined from the Fossil layer underground (accessible through Caves) or obtained by killing or pet-harvesting Night Rocksters, Warmworms, or Rockzillas
2 (blocks of) Obsidian Slabs made from an Obsidian bar in a Processor
Sensors will output a "true" signal when they are triggered, and have to be wired to a destination device (with or without an operating gate in between) that will be activated by this signal. They can also be deactivated by a "true" signal wired to the sensor through its input port.
Most often, Sensors should be utilized from behind other building blocks as to hide their locations, with the sensor boundaries lying in the range of the area you need to be the trigger. Sensors can also be disabled remotely via a Switch, or a Number Pad + Number Comparison Gate setup. While primarily a output device, this device also accepts external inputs to disable and enable the sensor.
To connect a Sensor with usable devices or objects like doors, lights, spawners or block phasers, the Wiring Tool has to be equipped.
With the Wiring Tool equipped, point your cross-hair cursor at the Sensor that you have placed in the game world.
Now you will be able to see the Send Hotspot overlay-image.
Press "N" (as the default key) to open the settings window.
The Sensor can be configured with the Wiring Tool.
It can be named by clicking on "Sensor" and renaming this.
It can be set to show a message on screen for the duration that a person is within its sensor boundaries.
