To store items, materials, liquids and the like in Creativerse you can currently use different types of chests and comparable containers.

Presently, all existent storage chests in Creativerse are the size of only 1 block and do not need free space above them to be opened. They can be opened/activated by looking at them and either clicking the right mouse button or typing "f" as the default key.

Then their storage window will open on the right side of the inventory window, and all sorts of items, liquids, materials and blocks can be transfered to the chests. In the bottom right corner the maximum amount of available slots is displayed for each chest.

Currently available storage chests Edit

Grand Arctek Chests Edit

can currently store 40 stacks of items (since R33 in August 2016) and can be crafted after their crafting recipe is unlocked by crafting or obtaining an Arctek Chest and crafting or obtaining a Stone Chest.

One Grand Arctek Chest is then craftable from 4 Arcstones, 2 Stone Slabs, 1 Stone Rod and 1 Glob of Goo.

These chests can also very rarely be obtained from Iron Treasure Chests and Diamond Treasure Chest, but a little more often from Things either as a loot or pet-harvest.

Arctek Chests Edit

can store 36 stacks of items (since R33 in August 2016) and can be crafted after their crafting recipe is unlocked by obtaining Arcstones from Keepas and crafting or obtaining a Stone Chest.

One Arctek Chest is then craftable from 1 Arcstone from Keepas, 4 Stone Slabs and 1x Melted Wax.

These chests, just like Grand Arctek Chests, can also very rarely be obtained from Iron Treasure Chests and Diamond Treasure Chest, but a little more often from Things either as a loot or pet-harvest.

Hidden Temple Chests Edit

can currently store 32 stacks of items (since R33 in August 2016). This storage chest is part of the Hidden Temple Super Bundle that was introduced with update R38 on February 3rd 2016, and can only be crafted after buying the Hidden Temple Super Bundle (formerly called "Mayan Super Bundle") in the Store for Coins.

One Hidden Temple Chest is then craftable from 4 Stone Rods, 2 (blocks of) Wildwood from Jungles, 1 (block of) Tourmaline from the Lava layer or Warmworms and 1 (block of) Stone.

Already crafted Hidden Temple Chests are included in the "Hidden Temple Pack" that can be bought in the Store, and others might be part of the Building Kits for Hidden Temple Blueprints, however these Item Packs do not include the according crafting recipe.

Medieval Chests Edit

can currently store 32 stacks of items. This storage chest is part of the Medieval Super Bundle that was introduced with update R41 on May 1st 2017, and can only be crafted after buying the Medieval Super Bundle (formerly called "Colossal Castle Bundle") in the Store for Coins.

One Medieval Chest is then craftable from 1 Wood Slab, 1 Melted Wax, 4 Stone Rods and 2 pieces of most types of Logs or Wood.

Already crafted Medieval Chests are included in the "Medieval Pack" that can be bought in the Store, and others might be part of the Building Kits for Colossal Castle Blueprints, however these Item Packs do not include the according crafting recipe.

Industrial Lockers Edit

can currently store 32 stacks of items. This storage chest is part of the Medieval Super Bundle that was introduced with update R44 in June 2017, and can only be crafted after buying the Medieval Super Bundle (formerly called "Colossal Castle Bundle") in the Store for Coins.

One Industrial Locker is then craftable from 1 Iron Slab, 1 Obsidian Rod and 1x Melted Wax.

Already crafted Industrial Lockers are included in the "Industrial Pack" that can be bought in the Store, and others might be part of the Building Kits for Industrial Blueprints, however these Item Packs do not include the according crafting recipe.

Stone Chests Edit

can currently store 28 stacks of items (since R33 in August 2016) and can be crafted after their crafting recipe is unlocked by crafting/taking a Wood Chest and crafting a Stone Mining Cell.

One Stone Chest is then craftable from 4 Stone Slabs, 2 Wood Slabs, 1 Stone Rod, and 1 Melted Wax.

Wood Chests Edit

can currently store 24 stacks of items (since R33 in August 2016) and are craftable from a starting crafting recipe with 2 pieces of most kinds of Logs or Wood, 2 (blocks of) Beeswax and 2x Vines.

Blue Gift Boxes Edit

can currently store 32 stacks of items (since R33 in August 2016). These storage chests were implemented during the Christmas season 2015-2016 along with their crafting-recipes and reappeared during Christmas 2016-2017, they are also expected to return in 2017-2018. Their crafting recipes can be shared by players who have collected duplicates. Whoever learns their rare crafting Recipe can still craft these storage chests.

One Blue Gift Box is then craftable from 2 Stone Slabs, 1 Glob of Goo, 1 Stone Rod and 1x Blue Pigment.

Green Gift Boxes Edit

can currently store 32 stacks of items (since R33 in August 2016).

One Green Gift Box is then craftable from 2 Stone Slabs, 1 Glob of Goo, 1 Stone Rod, 1x Yellow Pigment and 1x Blue Pigment.

Red Gift Boxes Edit

can currently store 32 stacks of items (since R33 in August 2016).

One Red Gift Box is then craftable from 2 Stone Slabs, 1 Glob of Goo, 1 Stone Rod and 1x Red Pigment.

Wood Book Shelves Edit

Wood Book Shelves can only contain 3 stacks of items and can be crafted after their crafting recipe is unlocked by crafting or obtaining blocks of Wood Walls.

One Wood Book Shelf is then craftable from 6 Wood Slabs, 1 Stone Rod and 1x Melted Wax.

Different from all Storage Chests, Wood Book Shelves are flammable, and if they burn away, also everything stored in them will vanish, even non-flammable items/materials.

Moving storage containers Edit

Only empty storage containers can be rotated and picked up. They can be picked up without requiring any Power Cells, but only when after have been completely emptied. Of course you won't be able to take any containers on claims of other players (or in game-worlds) where your permission level is set low.

Many storage containers can be fully rotated in all directions by pressing and holding R and moving the mouse while holding the left mouse button. Some can only be rotated sideways though, and it is not possible to flip these chests on their side or turn them upside down. The chosen rotation angle can still be "locked" too by simply typing "r", so that all items of the same stack will be placed facing the same direction.

Lesser number of slots Edit

If you have placed storage containers of any kind onto a Creativerse game-world before August 2016, you might only be able to put less stacks of items into them, because most chests have been granted more slots with update R33 which did not influence storage containers that had already been placed into game-worlds before this day.

In order to gain access to all their new functions and to have more available slots, you will have to empty these chests, pick them up (no Power Cell is required to pull any of them anymore) and then place the chests again.

Filling and emptying storage containers Edit

You can simply sort whole stacks of materials, blocks, items or substances into storage chests from your inventory or quick-bar by right-clicking or dragging & dropping with your left mouse-button. If you hold a stack of stuff with your mouse-button (left click), you can drag it over the chest and then right-click to drop only one piece of the stack (also repeatedly).

You can also hold left shift + left click, then drag to move half a stack, or hold left shift + right click to move five items. You can use the same kind of procedures to move items/stacks from storage containers into empty slots of your quickbar (will be filled first) and your inventory/bag.

Naming storage containers Edit

You can name any chest individually (this label will be shown over your health bar together with its permission rank when you look at the chest) by activating/opening the chest and then clicking on the icon that looks like a square note with a pen in the top right corner. You can type up to 30 characters into the text array and confirm this with "enter"/"return".

Permission settings Edit

You can change the Permission settings for each chest by clicking on the padlock icon shown in the top right corner after activating/opening the chest. Here you can set individual authorizations to control who will be permitted access to this chest (and its contents).

Available world permission-settings: "just me", "world owner/admins", "world mods", "builders" or "everyone". On player claims the available settings are "just me", "claim admins", "claim interact only", "claim builders" and "everyone".

Since R40 all storage containers are set to "builders" by default when being placed. So only players with builder rights/permission rank either on your game-world or on your claim (claim permission ranks override world permission ranks) can access your storage containers, but you can set them to "just me" if you want to.

If set to "visitor", everyone can access these chests and can even take them away. Only on player claims a special permission rank "claim interacts only" will allow players with the same permission rank to access this chest, but not to take it away. For more details, please refer to the article Permissions.

Transfer history Edit

By clicking on the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner, you can see a "Transfer History" listing the last 5 filling and 5 removal actions with the according player names and time of their access to the storage chest.

Displays Edit

Several objects in Creativerse can be crafted to exhibit a specific range of objects, blocks, materials, liquids and/or other items. They are not exactly "storage containers" per se, but will nonetheless store a few items.

Placemats

Stone Wall Shelves

Weapon Racks

Wood Planters

Flower Pots

Hidden Temple Altars

When placing these objects and activating them (right-click or "f" as the default key), a large window on the left side will temporarily replace the inventory window and will only list the items that can be transferred into the slots of the respective display. Displays will usually only accept 1 unit/piece of items to be put into their slot/s, not whole stacks of items like it's standard for actual storage containers.

Most of these displays will resize the items that they contain into a smaller size for display, but not all of them. Some of these displays offer the opportunity to view 3D models of Foodstuff, Crops, Arcstones, Mushrooms or Pigsy Droppings that can otherwise not be seen, as well as Explosives, Snowcube and Rimecones that can be thrown.

Seeds, Saplings and Queen Bee can be put into some of the display containers, but will not grow into Crops, Trees or Beeswax in there, despite some decorative sparkles. A few items will look differently on display than when simply being placed into the game-world, like Teleporters and Excavators.

One-way containers Edit

Loot Bags Edit

are only dropped by Creatures that have been killed by players, or Pets that have been dismissed by players.

Creatures that die from burning in sunlight, freezing, corruption (only uncorrupted Creatures), purification (only Corrupted Creatures), heat, drowning or any other "natural" death won't leave any Loot Bags behind. Also Healing Beacons and Mineral Water can kill Corrupted Creatures without letting them drop any Loot Bags.

This also holds true for elemental damage over time that certain Explosives can deal, like Fire Bombs, Freeze Bombs, Corrupt Bombs or Purification Bombs. Poison Bombs seem to be an exception though, since this is not considered environmental damage.

Even if you don't take anything from Loot Bags or leave them half-emptied, they will vanish after a while, even when player characters are still nearby.

Player Bags Edit

Players too can drop Player Bags that work a lot like Loot Bags. After opening your inventory/bag, you will note the bag icon in the bottom right corner next to the Trashbin. You can drag and drop items from your inventory into these bags which automatically lets a player-bag drop into the game-world under your player character's feet filled with these items that you have dropped.

You can add more things to your own bag/s as long as you keep the inventory open and drop stuff. If you take one step aside and drop more stuff into the bag, a second bag will appear with this new stuff inside. When taking everything out of these bags, no bags will be added to the inventory.

When leaving these bags half-emptied, they will vanish after a while if all player characters have left the area.

Treasure Chests Edit

that randomly spawn in darkness will disappear after being looted. No chests will be added to your inventory when you take everything these chests contain. You cannot put anything into these chests when you find and open them. Even if you don't take everything out, these chests will vanish after a while when being left alone and all player characters have left the area.

The same goes for Treasure Chests and Bags that have been spawned on Loot Spawners.

Death Statues Edit

On death the items in your inventory will be placed into a "Death Statue" that looks like a giant Urn. You can receive the urn itself when looting it, but items cannot be placed into these urns, neither when finding them after death (being led there by the skull icon on the compass bar), nor later on when placing them again.

Building Kits Edit

Blueprints made and offered by Playful (in the "Featured" section/TAB of the Blueprint window) also have purchasable Building Kits to be built right away in their standard version (not any player-customized variants). You can buy such a Building Kit for Coins that are to buy for real money in the Store ("Coins" TAB).

Such kits are not required to build Blueprints! However, if you like specific blocks, you can as well buy a Building Kit consisting of those instead of any Item Packs and build any structure with them. Building Kits look like a staple of wooden crates and can contain ten thousands of blocks and items. They will prevail as long as you leave just one item in them, and you can carry them around in your inventory where they only take up 1 slot. They are one-way containers though, so you cannot put anything (back) into them...
